15 FAQ'S on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
By Kath Dawson
1.What is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)?
Search Engine Optimisation is the process of preparing a web site in order to achieve search engine rankings that drive traffic to your site. SEO is an ongoing process beginning with the initial optimisation of the site, monthly maintenance of the site, regular evaluation of search results and adjustments to the site.
2. What good is having a web site if it is not being seen?
90% of Internet buyers are turning to search engines to find the products they want. Google alone conducts over 150 million searches a day. In fact, recent studies show that purchasers are about 12 times more likely to buy your products or services after finding your site through a search engine than all other traditional advertising methods combined (including trade shows, print ads, direct mail, radio, and even television)... at a fraction of the cost! Why? Simply put, when a consumer finds you through a search engine they are ready to buy. With traditional forms of media, you are broadcasting a message hoping to reach the right consumer at the right time.
As searchers generally only explore the first two pages in the search results, achieving high rankings on the search engines will make an enormous difference in the amount of visitor traffic your site receives.
3. Why doesn't my web site rank very well in the search engines?
Having your web site rank high in the search engines is a science and the rules for search engine optimisation (SEO) are always changing.
Here are some reasons why you may be having poor ranking:
Incorrect usage of the TITLE tag or no TITLE tag content.
Too many occurrences of the same word in a page (spamming).
Missing H1 and H2 heading tag content.
Missing ALT tag content in your graphic links.
No meaningful content in the first 250 characters on each page.
Less than 200 words per page.
Very few pages on your website.
No links from other web sites to your web site (link popularity).
4. How does the Search Engine find websites?
There are two ways a search engine can find a website to add to its database. The first and most direct method is to accept submissions from web site designers and optimisers. Most search engines have a "submit your URL" section inviting submissions from Internet users.
The second, and least obvious method of finding websites is to send a "spider" to follow each and every link on, off, and through a website. New URLs encountered by the spider will be added to the database. In this way, some search engines will grow very rapidly.
5. How long does it take for SEO results to kick in?
The amount of time required to see results of search engine optimisation work range anywhere from 2 weeks to a few months. This is dependent on how often search engines update their index and subsequently re-rank sites. The Google Dance for example is almost a spectator sport among the SEO community.
6. What is my site ranking dependent on?
Site ranking tends to be "cumulative" and is dependent on the following factors:
The specific keyword phrases (search terms) that have been targeted
The overall competitiveness of your industry - how many players are there
Whether you are targeting a regional, national, or international market
How well ranking is monitored and the site tweaked over time for SEO improvement
The progress of your inbound linking campaign
Number of competitor sites achieving new ranking themselves.
7. Why might I need to have extra elements added to my website?
A search engine spider is an automated program that electronically probes every URL submitted to its database. As the spider is a computer program, it is designed to look for and rank very specific items on each page it probes. If those elements are present, the spider computes a higher ranking than it would if those elements were not present.
8. If these elements are so important, why didn't they get added when my site was originally designed?
Most website designers haven't learned the importance of search engine friendly design. In almost every case we've encountered, the site designer is a highly skilled and creative person whose job is to put your ideas on the web. More often than not, the designers have not received any training in search engine optimisation and don't think about it while pursuing a cool looking design.
Search engines are also constantly changing their ranking criteria. They do this to prevent gross manipulation of their search tools. Often, website designers are not fully up to date with changes at search engines.
9. Does every page of my website really need to be optimised?
In a word - yes. Every page of a website can be a potential entry point or 'landing page' for visitors. You can't predict which page or pages will be ranked the best for specific keywords. As such, each page must be individually optimised too for optimal ranking. Collectively, all pages of your web site reinforce the common "theme" of the site, which also can help boost ranking. Don't assume that your home page is the only important page on your site.
10. Isn't This Something We Can Do Ourselves?
Large amounts of time, attention and expertise are needed to achieve the desired results in such a constantly changing niche industry. The expense of adding personnel and necessary resources alone would quickly outweigh the cost of hiring our company, which is why outsourcing SEO is by far the most popular method. Remember, an SEO company has already established strong, ongoing relationships with all the top search engines, and has experienced professionals who are constantly researching the changes and trends in this dynamic field.
11. Can you guarantee a number #1 position in the search engines?
Nobody can guarantee a number #1 position or specific ranking for your site for a given keyword phrase in the organic search engine results. There are simply too many factors beyond anyone's control - the search engines changing their ranking algorithms, efforts made by competitors, and new sites being added to the Web.
Obtaining a specific ranking is analogous to managing a portfolio. Your financial advisor will do their best to monitor the stock market and other indicators and to make sure your portfolio is managed to the best of their abilities. However, your advisor cannot guarantee that your portfolio will be at a specific value or even that the amount will be up at all by a given date.
12. It's been several months and my website finally shows up in Google but it's ranked in the hundreds. Why is that?
It's not always easy to get better search engine rankings. In fact, search engine optimisation is part science and part art. Search engines continually change their algorithms and tweak their rules for ranking. It is possible that Google does not fully read your page due to structural issues, your web site (or at least individual web pages) could be lacking in meaningful content, no significant web sites link to you, your web site is too small to be of any value to people searching for your topic, or any other range of problems.
Search engines may be flooded with web sites on a given topic, making it more difficult to achieve higher rankings. As such, a good search engine optimiser will look for a niche to exploit. For example, consider whether your web site has greater appeal to a local, national, or international region.
13. My web site did not get accepted last time I submitted to the search engines... why?
Search Engine listings are not guaranteed to everyone who posts a web site to the Internet. Search engines are for-profit businesses and have the right to refuse to list any site for virtually any reason. We ensure all bases are covered and all necessary elements are present before submitting the finalised site to the search engines or directories.
14. Why Should I Choose to Outsource SEO?
To achieve a high ranking web site, you have to know exactly the most effective META tag design formula, best web copy writing techniques, keep track of current search engine ranking algorithms, know what format to submit the site in to every engine and how often to resubmit the site. You also need to know whether your site is technically compatible with search engine robots, what types of pages the engines will accept and which will be barriers to ranking, plus what sort of overall "relevancy score" your site will receive from each engine you submit to.
Not only that, but once you're ranking highly, you have to monitor your progress and adjust your tags every now and then to ensure you stay up above your competitors on all engines for your major search phrases. These are all crucial steps to a high ranking, but very time consuming and not your core business!
15. How Do You Choose the Best Keywords?
The first step in our SEO campaign is to develop your Keyword Profile. Based on your initial input, we will use a combination of experience and software programs to generate a list of the most effective and well-searched keywords in your industry. We then work together to refine this list and compile the list of keywords and phrases that will be most beneficial to your product or services. You know your business and we know ours. We know how important it is to work together to generate the most effective Keyword Profile possible.

HOW TO FIND THE BEST LINK PARTNERS ONLINE
How To Find The Best Link Partners Online
By monica lorica
Links are vital factors in web marketing. The search engines are always looking for links to your website. The search engines put higher importance to incoming links. What are incoming links? These are outside links from other websites. The links point out to your website.
The search engines are after the quality of the links rather than its quantity. Quality links can dramatically boost your website's rank and traffic. Aside from these, quality incoming links affect your website's conversion rate, as well. One way of getting quality links – especially incoming links – is through link partners. How do you find the best link partners?
How to Find The Best Link Partners
How can you have the best link partners on the internet? It is significant that you link to quality websites only; otherwise, the linking won't have any great positive effects on your website. Remember that the search engines look at the quality of the links not merely the quantity. Here are 5 tips to help you find the best link partners:
• Write something interesting – most probably an article or resource that tackles an interesting and relevant topic or perhaps a website review. Allow other websites to use these reviews and online resources in their own websites as long as they give your website a link in exchange. These make these websites good link partners.
• If you have a discussion board in your website, why not invite other websites that are closely related to your website's theme or subject to participate in the discussion. You can opt to exchange links with these websites too.
• Write articles about your field of expertise or something about the subject or theme of your website. The articles should contain a resource box that reveals some useful information about you, as the author, and about your website or online business. And of course, it should carry a link back to your website. These articles must be submitted to quality and high ranking article directories.
• Aside from the article directories, you can also allow other websites and ezines to repost your articles as long as they include the resource box and a link back to your website. These websites and ezines are considered as part of your website's link partners since they give your website a link back while you provide them with content.
• If your website is a members-only website, you can attract other website owners and webmaster to link back to your website by giving them a privilege of getting a free membership. Since the word "Free" has a large impact on people, many webmasters will grab the opportunity.
With these pointers in finding the best link partners, you can already start your link campaign now. These linking tips will help you arrive at only the best link partners. Waste no time…maximize the positive effects of the linking strategy; find the best link partners now.

WEBSITE SUBMISSION MEANS GAINING PRESENCE ON THE NET
Website submission means gaining presence on the Net
By Clint Jhonson
Promoting your business throughout the Internet has become crucial concept in the 21 century marketing. If there is anyone that hasn't heard of Website submission or doesn't submit URLs by now, then that person must have been either hiding in a cave, or not working in the industry field.
Any website submission campaign is launched and maintained in order to gain some benefits for your business. As a business person, a site owner or a webmaster, you clearly need to be aware of all the benefits offered by a Website submission before taking a final decision. There are two major reasons that worth being mentioned in order to convince just about any business owner to submit URL to a web directory. There reasons relate to targeted traffic and link popularity.
To submit URL to a web directory, for instance momapproved.org, means actually to submit your website address to the web directory you chose in order to promote and advertise your website. Web directories have been built for one purpose only: to provide promotional help to other websites. Put in other words, Web directories are a list of links to other sites. So, if you expect to continue receiving good quality traffic to your website or you want to make your site known, the best way is to submit URL and be listed in a web directory.
The number of people using the internet is increasing by the second, which should make happy any internet business owner. That is another key-reason in favor of website submission, and not only to one web directory but to as many directories as possible. The more website submissions, the more links pointing back to your site and the more likely to be noticed by people visiting the web directory. With a right description of your site and correct tags and meta-tags, the link to your site won't be ignored and, moreover, the probability to be found by powerful search engines winds up considerably.
Website submission is quite easy to be done, not requiring advanced IT knowledge. Usually, you need to look for a "suggest a site" or "suggest a link" type of clue and simply follow the instruction specified. Most of the directories webmasters choose to post forms for a standard website submission. And many of the host web directories are free of charge, although the most indicated and more reliable are those who ask for at least an annual subscription fee or a PPC way of payment (pay per click).
In order to submit URL, it is very important to choose the correct category and sub-category (if available) to be listed under. Many directories reserve the right to reject the website submissions which have not been correctly categorized. It worth knowing that subdomains and deep-linking must not be submitted since they are not allowed. If you do this, the sites will be deleted without notice, so everything will be a loss of your time. The correct URL or domain name and a concise description of your site are also mandatory.
About the Author
In conclusion, website submission to promotional directories plays an important part in the attempt of getting quality links aiming directly to your site. If you choose to submit URL to dedicated directories, you opt for a guaranteed ad of your business.

A QUICK OUTLINE OF SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION
A Quick Outline of Search Engine Optimisation
By Chris Phillips
A number of factors need to be considered when optimising a web site for the organic results of the search engines. The cumulative effect of optimising all parts of a website is greater than the sum of its parts optimised individually.
Each factor overlaps with, or is related to, at least one other, and for maximum results the big picture needs to be captured by a search engine optimisation strategy.
This article outlines the elements an effective SEO strategy should cover.
Content
Body content should be relevant and not copied from anywhere else. The density of keywords and phrases should be approximately 5%. Related keywords and phrases can be used to boost relevancy.
Search engines like to see that a web site is serving current and valuable information. Frequently changing content and the addition of new pages will keep both search engines and users interested and can improve rankings.
Titles tags
Titles are the most important tag used by the search engines for determining the topic of a page. They should be relevant, concise, not use repetition and unique to every page. A call to action can encourage click through from the search engine results pages
Inbound links & PageRank
Due to the democratic nature of the major search engines, a web sites reputation is based on the number of relevant and trusted incoming links. The better the reputation, the higher a web site will usually rank. Reciprocal links carry little weight these days. Editorial citations have the most value as these are nearly always human edited.
Indexation
Generally speaking, the more pages a site has indexed, the better its chances are of ranking high. Certain infrastructure and content issues can hamper or even prevent the indexing of pages, and thus, have a negative impact on rankings.
HTML/XHTML & CSS
Weight of keywords, relevancy of a page and a site as a whole and its 'crawler-bility' (the ease at which a search engine can read a sites content) can be maximised by effective use of CSS, HTML and XHTML.
Meta tags
Whilst meta tags are no longer used by the major search engines for ranking, they must still be unique to every page and have certain limits placed on character length.
For the purpose of ranking, meta tags can actually be omitted altogether. However the description may be used as the snippet in the search engine results pages, so there is an opportunity to increase click through rate.
Keyword choices
The choice of keywords is essential to determining the relevancy of a page. Targeted keywords should be placed in the title tags and sprinkled evenly throughout the body copy, without making the text contrived or the keyword density too high.
Internal link structure
The internal linking structure is paramount to how a site is ranked. Search engines like to see a clear and logical hierarchical structure. This improves crawlability and can help maximise internal PageRank, which solidifies a web sites ranking position. Search engines also give more weight to links found within body content as these are usually human edited.
Spam
Any activity that falls outside the search engine guidelines is considered spam. The potential penalties range from negative impact on rankings to permanent de-listing.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE MONEY WITH GOOGLE ADSENSE
How you can make money with google adsense.
By Jones Hansen
How you can make money with google adsense. its not as easy as you may think.
Google adsense is an advertising program that can help you earn lots of money from advertising, if used the right way. Google adsense is a powerfull, intelligent and effectiv tool, it can even analyze your website content and from that create targeted advertising themes.
Adsense basically lets you put in small advertising boxes, text based or image ads, (now even also video advertising) on your webpage. Google adsense can be found in many different shapes and sizes. Squres like 250 x 250, you bigger vertical sized ads to place at the top, buttom left or right.
Signing up for adsense is very easy, just go to www.google.com/adsense and you will be guided through the whole thing. Once you get approved you can copy your adsense code into placement on your website, and you are ready to earn some money.
It works like this:
Lets say you got a website about dogs and dog training, then you can place an ad banner at the top of your page, or where ever you thing it fits best with your design. You can even costumize colors and text to fit your design best possible. Now google adsense may see your site and analyze it thinking okay, its about dogs, so we find some advertisment about dog food, or dog toys. At last just drive some traffic to your website, and then hope for some clicks, because its the clicks you get paid for.
One thing I hear very often is, people being confused about why 1 click on your ads can give you 5$ and another day you only get 0.20 cents per click. I would like to explain this. Some keywords are worth more then others, depending on how popular the keyword is, lets say keywords like dogs, dog food etc. well my guess is this won't get you as much money then pamela anderson.
Note: yes I know it sound easy, just get some traffic to your site, but I will recomment you to do some reading about search engine optimization also called SEO, and other traffic source ways to get some visitors. Also keep in mind that very few people can make a living just by making a website and get paid by adsense. I see google adsense as an extra income bonus, just try grabbing your calculator at calculate how many visitors you need every day and how few of them will click your ads, then estimate your adsense income from that. Not much but still better than nothing.

A NEW STRATEGY FOR INBOUND LINKS
A New Strategy For Inbound Links
By Dr. Deepak Dutta
This article revisits the oldest Web marketing strategy - inbound links. The importance of inbound links to your Web site never diminishes. Search engines still value quality inbound links to a Web site for higher rankings. However, the emphasize is now on the quality, not the quantity of links. A dozen quality links to your site from useful sites are more valuable to a search engine than 700 links obtained through a link exchange program.
Before going into the details of how to obtain quality inbound links to your site, you should know some don'ts of inbound link strategy. Never participate in an automated or manual link exchange program. These programs are useless; they don't benefit you and sometimes the search engines may even penalize your site for such links. Also, stop soliciting link exchange from other sites where your links will be placed in a link farm on a page along with hundreds of other links. The two don'ts are - link exchange program and link farms.
The number one strategy is to write articles with your resource box attached. Your resource box should mention your expertise in the subject and only one link to your site's home page. If you have already started frowning on the idea of writing articles to promote your site, you are not alone. Most probably, you already know that writing article for site promotion is not a new strategy and it has been going for the past few years.
Thousands of articles are written everyday and distributed through article directories and submission services. You can still continue promoting your site using article directories and submission services. However, this article will discuss a few new twists to the old article publishing idea to distinguish you from the pack.
Write original articles. If you buy private level rights to an article, rewrite it to make it unique. You don't have to buy the rights to private level articles to create original article. Using the Internet, find good quality articles on the subject that interests you and read those articles. It requires a few hours of time commitment every week.
On the weekend, take an additional few hours and write in your own words what you have read in the preceding week. Voila, you have a good quality original article. Remember, you can always write in your own words the ideas that you have read in other articles. You cannot simply copy verbatim from other articles. That will be copyright violation.
If you are good at writing humorously, do exploit that skill while writing on any subject. Humor is very powerful and it attracts more readers. People love a bellyful of laughs. If possible, say something bold or controversial without being a hate monger. This will also attract others' attention.
Once you have your original article written, find a few quality content rich site (not article directories) and offer them your article for free with your resource box attached. You are not asking for any link exchange, you are just giving away your high quality articles for free to a few selected sites.
Once you have a few good articles on the same subject, compile them into an e-book. Write a short bio(less than 300 characters) with your Web site link and ask a few selected site owners to distribute your e-book for free to their visitors. You can also ask other site owners to include your e-book as a free bonus in some of their prime selling products. Ask the site owners to distribute the e-book from their sites with courtesy notes and links back to your site.
If your Web site has a forum, offer other sites to use it from their sites. Setup your forum so that it has almost seamless integration from other sites. Ask other sites to directly link to your forum from their main menu. In return, tell them that you will write nice reviews of their sites and their offerings and publish those reviews in your site.
Develop a tips and tricks section on the subject of your Web site and update it regularly. Allow other sites to publish your tips and tricks for free with courtesy links to your site. Make the process automated (using RSS other techniques) so that when you update your tips and tricks page, all sites publishing your tips and tricks are also updated.
Whenever you get an opportunity, use your cell phone to shoot short videos and take pictures. You need to get a good cell phone with a camera. Give your pictures and videos to other sites for free. Ask them to put links back to your site below every video and picture they publish in their sites.
Join a few social networking sites like MySapce, etc. Create your Web pages on those sites with videos and pictures. Provide links back to your site from those pages. Update your Web pages in social networking sites periodically with fresh videos and pictures.
Publish link to your articles in community based popularity sites like digg. A well "dugg" story can generate thousands of hits to your site. If you have a controversial or humorous story, the chances are even better for "digging" your articles from these type of sites.
Write reviews of products and services, related to your site's subject, that you have used and publish those reviews on different review sites with a clever way to put links back to your site. Some creativity is required to achieve this feat. You cannot simply spam these review sites. Be genuine and at the same time marketing savvy.
Network and build good rapport with a dozen or so good site owners. Help each other in site promotion, idea and content exchanges. For all content exchanges, don't forget to include resource boxes with links back to your site.

THE 5 BEST METHODS TO GET CHEAP WEBSITE TRAFFIC
The 5 Best Methods To Get Cheap Website Traffic
By Michael Smith
Nobody can deny that when you talk about profit you talk website traffic. Everyone knows that you can have a website out there but without visitors it truly means nothing. So how do we go about getting the traffic?
Most of the big dogs are spending a ton of money to get all their traffic or spending a ton of time doing Search Engine Optimization. Either way we are looking for something that won't break the bank or use up all our days.
Well there are plenty of ways of getting traffic, but I'm going to focus on the five cheapest ways I know of getting traffic.
The first method I'm going to share is what are called link exchanges.
This method is usually used if two different sites want to spread the awareness of each others sites. They will exchange links and put each others links on their own sites. I like to get creative and put these links throughout my site in different places. Lets say I'm writing an article on building an opt-in list. Then I would go find a great opt-in list product that I feel passionate about and exchange links with that person.
Then I would drop the link at the end of the article as a "recommendation" to my readers. This method works great and the search engines love it.
The second method is called traffic exchanges.
Similar to link exchanges, traffic exchanges are just really the viewing of another person's website. As you view other's websites you earn credits and you can use them to display your site (impressions) to other people.
The third method is to write articles, which is my personal favorite.
Basically all you do is write an article (300-500 words usually) on a topic and submit them to the major article directories and ezine publishers. Now you want to write on topics that are relevant to your website. If your website is all about dogs, then write an article on how to train dogs.
The great thing about articles is that you are viewed at the expect and people will want to learn more. But how do they find you? Well down at the bottom of your article you put a resource box with your information and your website. This not only gets your site visibility but it also creates an inbound link to your site, which the search engines love (but that's a whole different story). Just make sure your article is extremely informative and useful and you should be fine.
The fourth method is simply making a newsletter.
True publishing a newsletter seems like a pretty big task but it can be simplified. You can go on the big article directories and take articles from there as long as you leave their resource boxes in tact. So this way you can get free valuable content for your subscribers and get the word out about your newsletter.
The last method is to join some online forums.
This last method is a little more time intensive for the returns that you receive, however if used correctly can be very effective. Many people look past forums, but the ones getting high volumes of traffic can be golden opportunities. What you want to do is go into forums of interest and just start answering peoples questions.
After a while people will start to view you as the expert and the link that you so conveniently placed at the bottom of your post will start to get some clicks. This method works great if you have the time, but don't get caught up in reading every post just answer questions.

You get better chances by paying for your advertisements, but at least you get a fighting chance with some of these free methods I'm about to tell you.
Take advantage of online forums and online communities. The great thing about forums and online communities is that you can target a certain group that fits the certain demographic that you are looking for. You can discuss about lots of things about the niche that you represent or offer. Another great advantage is that you know what you are getting into and you will be prepared.
With online communities and forums you can build a reputation for your company. Show them what you are made of and woo them with your range of expertise about the subject, with that you can build a reputation and build trust with the people in your expertise and knowledge.
You can also make use of newsletters. Provide people with a catalogue of your products and interesting and entertaining articles. If you make it really interesting and entertaining, more people will sign up for your newsletter and recommend it to other people. The more people who signs up for your newsletter, the more people there will be that will go to your site increasing your traffic.
Another great idea is trading links with other sites. You don't have to spend a cent. All you have to do is reach an agreement with another webmaster. With exchanging links, the efforts both sites do will benefit both sites. All traffic that goes to the site could potentially click on the link of your site and visit your site as well. This works well especially when both sites feature the same niche.
Write articles that will draw the attention of people that have interest in your products. Try writing articles that will provide tips and guides to other enthusiast's. Writing articles that provide good service and knowledge to other people would provide the necessary mileage your traffic flow needs.
Many sites offer free submission and posting of your articles. When people find interest in your articles they have a good chance of following the track by finding out where the article originated. Include a link or a brief description of your company with the article and there's a great probability that they will go to your site.
Write good content for your site. Many search engines track down the keywords and keyword phrases your site uses and how they are used. It is not a requirement that content should be done by a professional content writer. You could do your own but you have to make content for your site that is entertaining as well as informational. It should provide certain requirements as well as great quality.
Generally, internet users use search engines to find what they are looking for. Search engines in return use keyword searching in aiding their search results. With the right keywords, you could get high rankings in search engine results without the costs.
All of these methods and more will drive more traffic to your site for free. All it takes is a bit of effort and extended man hours. Learn all you can about the methods depicted here and you will soon have a site with a great traffic flow without the usual costs that comes with it.

Secrets to Picking a Company
Secrets to Picking a Company that will Provide You with Long Term Affiliate Revenue By: Glinda McDuffie
With the number of companies currently doing business on the Internet it's inconceivable that all of them are going to last the year, much less long enough to become a major force in the market and provide you with the affiliate revenue you deserve. How do you choose an affiliate program to work with that's going to keep you making money hand over fist for years to come, and what do you do once you find it?
The secret to making affiliate revenue is to choose a company that's stable and that is guaranteed to bring in enough profits to make your affiliate revenue worth the amount of time you're going to put into earning it. With that in mind, look for these things when choosing a company with which to affiliate:
1st: Look for a company that offers something people want to buy. No one is going to make a commission selling products that people don't want-what's ten percent of nothing? In order to make the kind of affiliate revenue that's going to justify the hours you're going to spend formulating your marketing plan and putting it into action you need to pick a company that offers a product that appeals to a wide group of people-and that they're going to be willing to pay for.
2nd: Try to find a company that's already made a place for itself on the market. It's okay to come in and be a part of a company's developmental years, but you want it to be worth it. A quick Google search will make it readily apparent which companies are making a place for themselves on the market and which are just floating along hoping to be discovered. This doesn't mean that you can't make an affiliate revenue off of a company that's still in virtual diapers, it just means you should proceed with caution.
3rd: Choose a company that's willing to pay a sizable commission. These companies are already in the black, and so they're willing to provide more recognition to their affiliates than their counterparts that are just squeaking by. A company that's managed to find its way into the black, particularly if it's just getting started, is a company with the drive and ambition to keep going in a competitive market-and to take you with them.
4th: Work with the big Kahuna, not its offshoots. An affiliate of a major company is going to be more vulnerable (and therefore a less stable source of affiliate income) than its parent company. There are very few affiliate companies that aren't going to be willing to work with an affiliate of their parent company, so you aren't in any way, shape or form limiting yourself by shooting for the source first.
There's really no guarantee that any company you want to affiliate yourself with is going to be a reliable source of affiliate income, but you can cut the risk and your potential losses with a company that's got what it takes to be around for a long, long time.
An entrepreneur since opening her first business at age 25, Glinda McDuffie has 29 years experience as a successful business person. Now Glinda is focusing on taking her brick-and-mortar experience to the 'net where she is determined to build her next empire at: gib.succeedwithaffiliatemarketing.com

ClickBank Guide
ClickBank Guide - How to Make Money With ClickBank Affiliate Programs By: Jim Olivero
So you would like to make some money as a clickbank affiliate?
If you have tried before and not had any luck don't be disheartened, making money with clickbank affiliate programs are a very genuine possibility 1000's of affiliates make a good living doing so, and I want to help you get your foot in the door and point you in the right direction with my useful clickbank guide.
First of all if you don't have a clickbank account search for clickbank in Google and sign up for one as you will need this if you wish to sell their products, this will also allow you to sell your own digital products process your payments by credit card and allow affiliates to sell your products at a later stage if you decide to go down the product creation root.
Now that you have your clickbank account you will need to go to the market place and search for some products that you would like to promote, it's not really worth promoting anything to start with if it makes you less than $20 commission, make sure you check the sales letters if it makes you want to buy then it is probably a good one to promote.
It may be helpful if you promote a product in a niche, hobby or interest that you have, that way you will know if the product has a powerful sales letter or not and whether what they are selling is of interest to the audience that you represent.
Do take some time to select your product as getting the right one is paramount to your success of getting your first sale
Now that you have your product that you wish to promote, and your happy with the affiliate commission that it offers you need to find some methods for marketing your chosen item
Now I would recommend if this is your first time and if you don't have experience with "Pay Per Click Marketing" then you should follow some of these steps to get free traffic until you land your first sale and have some money to invest, as it could otherwise become an expensive lesson which may put you off before you have even stated.
Right now here it is your 4 steps to free traffic!
Step 1. Articles & Reviews
Write and submit reviews and articles in relation to the product that you are promoting. This is made easier if you have chosen first product that you are interested in, as you will have an idea what people would like to know.
Don't rush these articles its imported to provide valuable and unique content to the reader, do not copy text from other places on the internet, and don't use an automated program to generate the articles for you, this will very quickly see you banned from all the human edited articles sites.
Step 2. YouTube
A new and valuable source for traffic do not spam the comments, but look more at making a short video file this can be images and audio if you don't have a video camera, but don't copy other peoples images form places like Google images or off websites you have seen as this as you will violate the copy write legislation
Step 3. Facebook and MySpace
A new emerging source of traffic both these sites have a lot of members now, your registered with one these too or other social networking sites why not tell your friends about the offer then setup a FaceBook group (or what ever the MySpace alternative is)
In my experience FaceBook groups get a surprising amount of traffic just by people searching for groups so including the keyword(s) in the name of your group that people will be looking for could see you getting some new members fairly quickly.
Step 4. Forum Marketing
This has been around for a long time, first thing I would like to say is DO NOT SPAM the forums, dropping links with out any purpose or reason not only will get your account suspended but wont help you either as forum moderators are quick to remove spam links.
Instead the best method is to go onto the form and have your link included in your signature, but look for posts where people are asking questions and see what ones you may be able to help with, you will be much more respected by the moderators and the forum members if you are providing useful content to the forum and helping other members and they will be more likely to have a look at your site from the links based in your signature if it sounds like you know what your talking about.
After you have made a few sales and you can see that this is working, there is another method that you can use to get even more out of your traffic and building a more sustainable income from your efforts.
